The CPX low-temperature probe station adopts a modular design to meet the needs of a wide range of experiments, and is Lake Shore's most functional high-performance low-temperature probe station. The diverse options and configurations of CPX enable researchers to complete precise and challenging measurements. CPX has multiple radiation shielding layers to achieve excellent low-temperature performance, and its low-temperature option can lower the sample temperature to 1.6 K. The installation of multiple thermometers in the probe station ensures accurate and repeated measurements.
Due to the use of a split flow design, the sample can maintain temperature during the cooling of the radiation shield, and with the high vacuum option, it minimizes sample condensation during the cooling process, which is a key requirement for measuring hydrophilic organic materials. Ideal applications include organic matter research and microwave measurement. Vacuum Load Lock can be configured for high-throughput measurements. In addition, CPX can be configured to transport controlled samples to the chamber under vacuum. CPX can accommodate wafers with a diameter of 51 mm (2 inches) (up to 102 mm [4 inches] optional). The system operates using liquid helium or liquid nitrogen.
