PS-100 Economy Desktop Low-Temperature Probe Station

The Lake Shore PS-100 probe station is an economical, multifunctional desktop cryogenic probe station, making it an excellent choice for labs with limited budgets or those just beginning material testing. This system features an ultra-fast delivery cycle and requires only a vacuum pump and refrigerant to start low-temperature experiments.
 The PS-100 is pre-configured for high-sensitivity, high-impedance DC measurements, enabling its use across various applications. It features a four-arm, triple coaxial TTPX probe station configuration for four-point probing and delivers highly stable operation within a temperature range of 4.2 K to 475 K. The high-precision, compact probe station ensures accurate probe tip placement, while the PS-100 accommodates samples with diameters up to 32 mm (1.25 inches).  
The PS-100's compact desktop design is ideal for academic and laboratory research, delivering efficient cryogenic operation through a continuous flow refrigeration system using liquid helium or nitrogen. With the accompanying Lake Shore 336 temperature controller, users can independently adjust the sample stage and radiation shield temperatures while simultaneously monitoring the probe head temperature.  
Additionally, the PS-100 model features a complete heat sink and radiation shielding function to prevent heat from reaching the sample. The probe is cooled to the sample stage temperature to minimize the thermal load on the test device.  
The PS-100 benchtop cryogenic probe station can also be upgraded on-site. When your research evolves or your budget allows, you can enhance its functionality by selecting optional features from the TTPX series, such as cryogenic or high-temperature options, vibration isolation, or backside optical interfaces.
