The EMPX-H2 probe station from Lake Shore has been equipped with an electromagnet that generates a ±0.6 T horizontal magnetic field. All standard C-V, I-V, microwave, and electro-optical measurements, along with in-plane horizontal field electromagnetic measurements, can be performed on the EMPX-H2 probe station. Researchers can utilize the EMPX-H2 to test magnetic transport parameters, ST-FMR measurements, and more. It serves as a cryogenic probe station for vector-related magnetic transport measurements in Lake Shore's probe station lineup.
To maximize the sample magnetic field, the EMPX-H2 probe is configured with a 30° tilt angle for probing wafers up to 25 mm (1 inch) in diameter. The optional 360° rotating sample stage enables measurements of angle-dependent and anisotropic magnetic transport properties. The EMPX-H2 operates within a temperature range of 4.5 K to 400 K, and the optional cryogenic module extends the base temperature to 3.2 K. EMPX-H2 employs continuous flow cooling, which can be achieved using liquid helium or liquid nitrogen.
